Stop Doing These 5 Things If You Want a Better Life

Are you unsatisfied with your life? Do you want something better for yourself but aren’t sure where to start? Well if you want to live the life you feel you deserve, you will first need to stop doing the following 5 things.

Being On Your Phone 24/7

Do you have any idea what is going on in the world around you when you are on your phone? Probably not. Thus, it is time that you put your phone down and actually start being present in your life. This is especially true when you are spending time with friends. Why would you need to be on your phone when you best friend is sitting right in front of you? Exactly.

Keeping People Who Don’t Support You In Your Life

This brings up the next point. Besides dedicating your attention to being present when you are with friends, you also need to cut people who don’t belong from your life. Look for the people who are negative, no fun to be around, or they just generally make you feel bad about yourself. Whoever they may be, it’s time to stop talking to them. Rather, you should work to make new and supportive friends who want to help you on your journey to having a better life.

Thinking Negatively

And negative people aren’t the only negative things in your life you need to purge. You also need to work on your own mental though process. Do you often have negative thoughts about your past, or the person you see in the mirror?

It’s critical that you put a stop to this negative internal monologue, because, whether you realize it or not, it is having a profound effect on your everyday life. You need to transform your thinking to be something more positive, and the rest of your life will follow. If you are having trouble controlling your thoughts, work to develop mantras, or consider writing in a journal to work through your negative emotions.

Eating Out

Now, don’t get me wrong. It is fantastic to dine out occasionally. But frequent dining out increase’s ones intakes of unhealthy fats and sugars.

Eating out is not only expensive, but it is often very difficult to track how much you are eating, not to mention what you are eating. What you put in your body is directly tied to your health which is a major player in having a better life.

Instead, you need to start planning your meals, then shopping for them in the grocery store. Try to stick with fresh, whole foods, and make sure you skip the junk food aisle.

Saying ‘Yes’ To Everything

Lots of people are busy, and some people are too busy. You might be one of those people. If you are constantly rushing from meeting to meeting and frequently dropping the ball when it comes to obligations and deadlines, then you are definitely overloaded. And this is dangerous because it could quickly lead to burnout.

You don’t have to say yes to everything, and you shouldn’t. Next time someone asks you to do something that you don’t want to do (or that you don’t have time to do) just say no. It’s that simple. And once your schedule begins to clear out, you will finally have time for the person who should matter most in your life, you!

Whatever path you may currently be on in life, a better one is most certainly waiting for you. And if you stop doing these five aforementioned things, it won’t be long before your own life will change and you will be living a life which previously only existed in your dreams:)

You Can Create Effective Affirmations

Firstly, what is an affirmation?

An affirmation is a positive statement that you repeat to yourself, over and over again. Saying it out loud is best.

If you want to get the best results from your affirmations then you need to write them correctly. The words that you say to yourself are very powerful and if you phrase them incorrectly then your subconscious mind can end up working against you rather than for you. Something that makes sense to you may not make sense to your subconscious.

In this article, we will provide you with the most effective techniques for writing powerful affirmations. It will take more time and effort to do this, but you need to take the longer-term view here. Better to spend a bit more time getting it right than not seeing the results that you want down the road.

You have already achieved what you want

When you write your affirmations, you need to do so in the present tense. This means that the statements will read as if you have already achieved what you desire. So, if you want to be more confident don’t write “I want to be more confident”. Instead write “I am supremely confident”.

If you do not write your affirmations with this kind of certainty then you are just compiling a wish list. Your subconscious will not respond as you want it to when presented with a wish list. You need to convince your subconscious that you mean business.

By using affirmations that state you have already got what you want you do not give your subconscious reasons to challenge this. It is a done deal. You are supremely confident. The more that your subconscious hears this, the more it will take it on board and help you.

Make your Affirmations Personal

There are two things to consider here. Your affirmations need to address specific weaknesses and flaws in your character that you have. This is personal to you and will not be the same as other people. The second thing is that when you write your affirmations you need to use the first person “I”.

Never use “we” in an affirmation. This implies that other people are necessary for you to achieve the change that you desire. It is imperative that you do not write vague affirmations. Everything needs to be crystal clear so that your subconscious mind can absorb your affirmations easily.

Using “I am” is recommended here. You can also use “I will” and “I have” if you want to. Here are some examples:

  • “I am supremely confident”
  • “I am able to do anything”
  • “I am wealthy”
  • “I am very healthy”
  • “I am beautiful”

Do you see how powerful these are? They are direct and to the point as well. There is nothing vague here.

Include Powerful Emotions

A very effective way to supercharge the power of your affirmations is to add emotion to them. Emotions have a very powerful effect on our lives so it makes sense to add these into your affirmations to make them stronger.

When you are writing each of your affirmations take the time out to imagine how you will feel when you have achieved it. So, if you want to be supremely confident think about the feelings you will experience when you have this. Use a strong feeling in your affirmation statement.

Keep it Short and Simple

Try to keep your affirmations as short as possible so you can remember them easily, this is important. Don’t leave out any important details (such as strong emotion) but look at a long affirmation and see how you can shorten it without losing any of its impact.

5 Tips To Increase The Trust You Have in Yourself

If you have a difficult time trusting yourself, don’t despair! You are far from alone. It is something that many  people struggle with, and find very difficult to overcome.  It is so easy to lose trust in yourself when other people hurt or disappoint you and you lose trust in them.

Focusing on key aspects of trust will help you overcome this problem. Here are 5 simple tips you can begin to practise today.

#1 Have faith in your accomplishments

The first is to have faith in your accomplishments. If you pass off your accomplishments as not being that important, when you need to rely on them, they won’t be there for you. That is sure to interrupt the process of trusting yourself.

#2 Trust Your Instincts

You also need to trust your instincts. You won’t always be right, but you will be more often than not.
An instinct is something you feel strongly about and does not come only from experiences. They come from something internal that no one can truly explain. It’s part of that inner voice that is telling you what to do. You need only listen.

#3 Rely On Others

You should rely on other people. If you open yourself up to letting others into your life, you will find that you become more trusting of yourself.
Whether you like it or not, you need other people. You can’t know everything there is to know about every subject.
Use the strengths of others to supplement what you know. It will take the burden away from you to do everything. That will help open the possibilities to put trust in yourself.

#4 Filter out negative information

Try to filter out negative information. You get bombarded with this throughout your life. It occurs every day in the news, at work, and in many cases, your home.

#5 Trust Yourself by Taking Some Chances

Trusting yourself sometimes requires a leap of faith.
Take some chances. While you want to be smart regarding the risks of your choices, you don’t want to overanalyze every decision you make.
If you do, you will never make any decisions, and you will stagnate.
It’s true that not everything will work out the way you plan. But, you will never know unless you try.
The good news is when you are ready to try, many of your decisions will work for you.
